BoB is a nickname I gave my amazing wife Angie about 30 years ago as a joke. I’m not sure  this had anything to do with her when I made the piece originally but since I added the bird  on his head, yes. She is my voice of reason, the little bird in my ear. The world can be a dark  place and I always like to think of my work as being little rays of sunshine to help keep the  chin up. A friend. I made BoB (sans bird) in 2016 and he’s been pushed around the country  in shows and backdrops for selfies. So I gave my old friend BoB a new friend this year with  the bird. I know it’s silly. I made a sculpture for a sculpture. I do what I want...
