Artist Walks Alone

This is a newer piece somewhere between frog, alien and monster. I’m always drawing,  doodling and making marks when given the chance and The Artist Walks Alone came from  one of those sessions. I’ve drawn thousands of things over the years and only 50-60 make it  to the sculpture stage each year. After making the sculpture I noticed the resemblance to a  Daniel Johnston drawing Hi, How Are You and gave him the props by naming it after one of  his songs. Johnston was an outsider artist/musician who spent time in and out of psychiatric  institutions. He was a big influence on many musicians as well as myself. The song is a delight  - check it out.
