Argos

50"

720 W. Oak St.

In Homer's Odyssey, Odysseus returns from fighting in Troy to Ithaca where he finds his home is  overrun with people after his wife Penelope, so he disguises himself as a beggar and enters  and the only one that recognizes him is his dog, Argos. He’s been gone for ten years and the  dog is old and in a bad way and lifts his head and wags his tail. Unable to greet his faithful  dog and give away his plan he sheds a tear and passes by. The dog dies and the whole  thing is terrible. Growing up, I had a dog named Wolf and this is from a drawing of him. Fido  from the latin - I Trust. Fidelity. Dogs will always make me smile.
